Mission URJA Impact Dashboard
Most foundations tell you what they did. These are the villages, the systems on the ground and the power they produce — refreshed from the field and open to scrutiny.

How these figures are produced
Nothing on this page is typed in by hand. Each village record carries what is physically on the ground; everything else is calculated from it by one method, applied to every village — so a correction restates the whole history at once, not just what comes next.
What is recorded
Every village is recorded with its households electrified, people benefited, rooftop solar systems, solar street lights, CCTV cameras, installed solar capacity, funding partner, commissioning date and installation progress. The dashboard also captures actual power generation and environmental impact through IoT-enabled monitoring systems wherever installed.
Only officially handed-over villages with active installations are included in the operational impact dashboard. Villages yet to be handed over are excluded from operational impact calculations.
How power generation is calculated
Power generation is calculated using actual electricity generation data received from installed IoT energy meters and monitoring systems. The dashboard consolidates recorded generation across active Mission URJA installations to display village-wise and programme-wide electricity generation.
Installed solar capacity represents the total commissioned capacity of the systems. Actual energy generation is measured in kWh and may vary depending on sunlight, weather, system performance and operating conditions.
Where live meter data is unavailable, generation estimates may be displayed separately and clearly identified as estimates.
How carbon is calculated
Carbon emissions avoided are calculated using the actual electricity generated by Mission URJA installations and the applicable grid emission factor.
Every unit of solar electricity generated and used in place of grid electricity contributes to the calculation of avoided emissions. The dashboard converts recorded electricity generation into estimated CO₂ emissions avoided and displays the cumulative environmental impact of the programme.
The village corpus
Mission URJA is designed to create sustainable, community-owned energy infrastructure. Every connected household, solar installation and public lighting system contributes to the village's long-term energy access and development.
The dashboard records the infrastructure deployed, households connected, people benefited and funding partner supporting each village. It also tracks commissioning and installation progress, providing a transparent view of the programme's reach and implementation.
Downtime and availability
Mission URJA monitors the performance of installed solar infrastructure through IoT-enabled meters and system monitoring wherever available.
Actual electricity generation reflects the system's operating conditions, including sunlight availability, weather, maintenance and equipment performance. Periods of scheduled maintenance, technical downtime or unavailable monitoring data should be distinguished from normal operating periods.
Why the figure moves while you watch
The Mission URJA dashboard is designed to present continuously updated programme data. Power generation and environmental impact figures are refreshed as new readings are received from installed IoT meters and monitoring systems.
Village-wise and programme-wide totals are updated using the latest available data from active installations. Cumulative generation and emissions avoided reflect recorded performance over the relevant reporting period.
The dashboard distinguishes live readings, cumulative totals and estimated values wherever applicable, ensuring that users can understand how the programme is performing based on the data available.
Power generation is estimated using installed capacity and regional solar resources. Where IoT meters are connected, actual readings replace estimates. Carbon impact is reported as emissions avoided, not traded carbon credits.
